A keen knowledge of Robert’s Rules of Order provides you with the tools to conduct productive meetings and accomplish your goals. Keep discussions on track and cut through delay tactics. Make sure difficult personalities are in check. Robert’s Rules of Order is the parliamentary authority used by most organizations to ensure that democratic procedures are followed during meetings.

This class will give you the hands-on experience that you need to make certain that your next meeting runs smoothly and productively. You’ll explore the rules that govern meetings, including quorums, motions that bring business before the assembly, motions that are out of order and motions requiring a two-thirds vote. You’ll learn how to debate issues, handle reports and work in an executive session. By putting this knowledge to work in mock meetings, you’ll see which motions are valid in a variety of situations and gain useful experience in making motions and using points of order.

This class is essential for effective and efficient meeting management and a must for tribes, associations, schools, health organizations and more.
